Extremely disorganized. Scheduled a vehicle in the app a week ahead, arrived to pick up and the vehicle was very dirty (dog hair, mud, dirt/debris, food or something on the inside of the windows, and hole in the muffler), almost empty on gas, and filled with so many air fresheners that we got headaches almost immediately. Worst service ever, they denied me a rental because I only had my debit card but I took an Uber to another location and I got the rental with the same debit card. A one star not deserved.
My car engine seized, so I had to rent a car for approximately two weeks while my dealership handled the engine replacement claim. I can't say enough about the customer service I received from Amanda. Kind, knowledgeable, and respectful, which is what I needed during this stressful time.
BEWARE!! They will allow you to book and pay without even having the car available. I was told an hour before pick up that no car was available. Just because you pay does not mean they will have a car there when you get there
Beware of renting from Budget internationally. I reserved a car out of the Rome airport in Italy in Sept 2025. I was charged approximately 3x the amount quoted to me. There was no damage to the car. Most of the extra cost was in insurance, but I had been very clear what coverage I wanted when I reserved the car. The woman at the counter in Italy promised to correct it but didn't. The U.S. based customer service couldn't help so they escalated it twice to the international customer service, which did nothing about correcting ... read more
