ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RENT FROM BUDGET! We rented a Jeep Wagoneer, and even though it wasn’t an old vehicle, it was one of the worst rental experiences we’ve ever had. When we picked it up, the vehicle was filthy. There was trash left inside, and it was obvious it hadn’t been properly cleaned before being rented out. I had a prepaid reservation booked at the budget located inside the HSV airport on Glenn Rd. The agent (black male) had on a Alamo shirt but was assisting Budget customers turned me away because he thought my paper ID was expired but it was in fact the issue date and I kept stating that but he stayed firm and repeatedly said it was expired and his peer that was actually a Budget agent didn’t try to assist. I’m not sure was he new but I did not have the best experience and I was very upset!
Even if you are on a Budget, Do not choose Budget! I prepaid for a Budget rental on May 1, 2026, for the period of May 7–10. On May 9 at approximately 6:00 PM, the vehicle broke down while my family and I were vacationing near Asheville, North Carolina. We were staying in a cabin in Hot Springs, about an hour away. Great customer service and Erika was amazing very knowledgeable and excellent customer service
The absolute worst trying to call the front desk. I dropped my car off the guy at the front desk said he was going to call me the next morning because he couldn’t find my reservation to close out, and now I’m being charged my full amount plus my deposit but more. Someone call me back!
