We rented a car through Budget 7/19-7/28. The woman at the pickup counter was so kind, so helpful, and overworked… only her with a huge line. We felt bad. That experience was a 5/5. Give her a raise and vacation! Fast forward to us returning the car…. Within 20 minutes of returning the car we were charged $91. My job requires that I travel fairly often, so I’ve had my share of rental car experiences, some good, some not so much. This one was definitely one of the better ones. The process at the airport was quick and easy. . The staff was professional but friendly, and everything was ready to go when I arrived. The car itself was spotless, ran great, and exactly what I had reserved, no surprise “upgrades” or last-minute changes. Earned one star for quick service and for providing a decent vehicle as requested. Lost 4 stars for charging me for fuel after I turned in the vehicle with way more gas than it had when I left the rental facility (see photos). Also received a charge for a roadside option when I never asked for that or even discussed it with the counter attendant. These two unauthorized charges amounted to $100.57. I had a great experience! Honestly, my expectations weren’t high after a rough time flying into Orlando last year, but Punta Gorda Airport was a completely different story. Everything ran so smoothly, from pick-up to drop-off, and it really set a positive tone for the start of our trip. Huge thanks to your team!
