I usually rent vehicles from **Enterprise Truck Rental** when I visit Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but I decided to give **Budget Car Rental** another try. I had rented from them once before and the experience was just okay. I had a reservation for picking up a car at 11:17 AM. My plane was slightly delayed and I arrived at the counter at 12:15. They told me and the person infront of me that there is a delay in cars. If you are a National Company and have reservations should you not have those cars available and ready? I’m here because my father is passing away and every minute matters to get to him. Absolute worst experience ever with Budget Rental Car in Milwaukie Wisconsin. My wife and 9 year old daughter flew into MKE and rented a car. They provided her with an EV car that had half battery left. It is 7 degrees there and she needed to drive to Green Bay for a funeral. The car does not have the battery to make it there and she spent 6 hours going from charging station to charging station because it takes 10 hours to charge if it is not a fast charge. Obviously scamming customers. I rented a car here over the holidays and brought the car back with the tank filled and car cleaned. My deposit was returned, then I was charged a $125 cleaning fee 3 weeks later. No explanation of what needed to be cleaned was provided, even though nothing was mentioned during the car return inspection. I've never been charged a cleaning fee in the past and have always returned the car clean. I recommend choosing a different rental service to avoid surprise charges.
