I have rented from budget for the last time! Of all the car rental options in the Milwaukee airport Budget was the only one that had a line of 35 people that had been waiting for hours and they had no cars to give them. Every other place limited their bookings to the number of cars they had. People would come and leave with their keys, but not budget. People were stranded! NEVER renting from this place again!!! First of all, I prepaid for a rental that totaled $90, but they gave me a vehicle I did not pay for when I arrived there. To me, it seemed like a downgrade but I was wasting time already waiting so I just left but I called budget customer service to let them know, which they processed a refund for that. BUT after returning the car and a couple days later I got the receipt for my total, and the total came out to $112, with there being an extra $21 charge. Counter staff was nice but when you reserve a car you expect to be able to get your car at that time. I wanted for 2 hours with 50 other people with reservations because they didnt have any cars.

Have to give credit where credit is due. Although some rental experiences with Budget at other locations have been abysmal, picking up my vehicle at MKE was stellar. For my rentals this August and in August '24, I received a text message providing me with the parking space number for my reserved vehicle. As a Fast Break member, I was able to get into my vehicle and drive off. No counter visit. Only had to show my license at the exit. I always prepay, and sign up for texts related to my rental.
