We reserved a car and paid for the rental in full a few months ago. When we picked up the car in JFK, NY and we were asked if we needed toll coverage. I said for 1 day that we will be travelling to CT. The location was extremely crowded and loud, but I know the agent did not tell me I would have to pay for the full 10 days. We did travel to CT and did use it for 1 day, I do not think I should be charged for the whole 10 days since I didn't use it that many days and I wasn't advised ahead of time. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. It seems that reservations for rental cars are nothing but ponzi schemes for a deposit for a vehicle that may or may not be available within a 4-8 hour window on the day you reserved the car for. We arrived at our appointment time and were immediately told that there was a 2 hour waiting period, at the end of which they MAY be able to get us the car we reserved and paid for.

When my husband and I rented the car, we tried using the pop-out cupholder that folds out of the middle backseat. Upon opening it, we saw that it was FILTHY. It was CAKED with crumbs and food. Obviously it had not been cleaned since the last person had used it. Clearly they do only the most basic surface clean before turning over a car, and they don't look in any of the pockets or compartments.
