Joe at Budget/Avis in Costa Mesa was truly my hero! I was having a really hard time getting a car at other agencies, and he went above and beyond to make sure we could get home. His dedication, patience, and effort made all the difference. I am forever grateful for his help and will always remember his kindness. Thank you, Joe!
Very bad experience. The person at the counter was extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. When I asked to speak with a manager, he replied, “I am the boss here because the manager is not here.” This attitude was unacceptable and disrespectful. There was no customer service, no willingness to help, and no professionalism at all. Overall, this was a very poor experience, and I would not recommend this car rental to anyone.
Avoid this location if possible. They are dishonest, unprofessional, and feel it is good business to insult the customer. I am a regular customer of Budget and usually have a good experience. My suggestion to Budget. Strip this location of their franchise.
I usually rent from another agency. That agency was sold out so I stumbled on to this Avis location. Reserve the car online. My time I need the car is always variable for work. And so usually with the other agency I can book for 4 days and if I return it after 2 days, they credit me the difference back. I got to the office to pick up the car and was told we don’t do that. This place is completely unprofessional. They gave us a truck that was dirty and full of dog hair and filthy with trash. Attendant refused to clean it and didn’t have any vacuum tools. The service here is absolute garbage, and I would avoid it at all costs
