The cabins are a long drive from anything. That seemed like a good thing when we booked it, because I thought it meant getting away from the tourists and into some great privacy. Unfortunately, that's not the reality. After driving nearly an hour away from everything, you arrive at a bunch of cabins right on top of each other. There is no privacy or real sense of remoteness. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Budges' Slide Lake Cabins. If you're looking for a place to stay off the beaten path with plenty of privacy, quiet, and beauty, then this is it! We stayed in Cabin #2 with 2 queen bedrooms, 2 twins in the loft, and a queen pull out couch in the living area. Everyone had a bed and the 2 bathrooms was great for our family to be able to all shower quickly in the evening and get out first thing in the morning.
