I broke my wrist a week ago at night whilst holidaying in a caravan park and was referred to Buderim Private Emergency Dept by a family member who lives on Sunshine Coast. The reception staff were efficient when we arrived and treated me with respect. I was taken into a cubicle and Dr Salenie Goonewardena thoroughly checked me all over for other injuries. Chemical constrain without consent mounting to alleged assault, breach of the will of a patient legally documented in the ePoA and that all while in rehabilitation. Not sure how the latter could have occurred with the medication provided for a 82 year old just having a second heart operation. No physician can explain this until now. Dose changes in the medication charts were written over rather than crossed, a 1 was written over by a 2. Great hospital. Staff are so switched on and knowledgeable, nurses actually care for their patients. Wards 2A and Rehab have amazing nursing teams and ward managers and should be very proud of themselves.
