Established in 1936 on the corner of Conant and Six Mile Roads as a neighborhood tavern, it was not until 1946 that Buddy's first introduced our famous square pizza — the first of its kind — to Detroit. A disappointment from the original. – The pizza is not the same as the original buddys. Staff is a bunch of kids at night. Waited way to long for my food.
grab a slice on the go, or get a whole pie – great pizza in this "little" version of Buddy's. Mostly takeout, but there is room to sit down. It connects with St. John Hospital, so don't be suprised to see dr. and nurses eating here. They have great salads! Fresh (and I mean fresh!!) antipasto, cobb, ceasar, greek, tuna, you name it they got it! Along with homemade soups, mac and cheese. yum. Just thinking about it makes me hungry! Best of all...no tipping.
