Great restaurant with a beautiful view of the water. Nice enough atmosphere for a nicer occasion or a casual evening out. We got the Rock N Roll, Stinky, and Firecracker. Fish tasted very fresh. All rolls were very delicious. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. Service was very fast. We were able to sit outside on their patio which had views of the water and docked boats. Meh. If you're looking for more authentic, fresh sushi this may not be your place. Just generic, mediocre sushi rolls. Everything in the pkg for 2 or 4 looks and tastes virtually the same... Same chopped spicy tuna flavor on mostly everything. Nice view, good parking. Service was a tad lackluster but was friendly when he did come around. Not worth the price point for the food but it is OC on the water with boat watching so there's that.

I planned Buddha’s Favorite as a surprise for my boyfriend’s birthday. I rented a boat for just the two of us, specifically so we could boat over and have dinner here. Our boat rental started at 7:00 PM and our dinner reservation for dock n dine was for 7:30 PM. Buddhas Favorite is the best resturant in Newport Beach hands down. The owner, Nicole is incredibly helpful! She helped us organize a party for my mom's birthday - eveything was done to perfection. I highly recommend.
