Buddha Ruksa

4.5

About this business

Traditional decor meets Pacific Northwest style in this West Seattle restaurant. Truly a great place to take a date, Buddah Ruksa's elegant surroundings, chic style and a full cocktail bar make it ideal. Oh, and the food: you can't go wrong with one of the usual Thai favorites, but the crispy garlic chicken earns particularly high marks. If you are a fan of spicy, try making your dish "level 5" spicy, but don't say you weren't warned.

This place is so good! – Here is Seattle you can't look up without seeing a Thai restaurant. But Buddha Ruska is different from the other restaurants! The menu is imaginative and interesting, not just phad thai and variations on phad thai! The green curry is amazing as is the crispy chicken. We went in July, and the west side of the building is all windows, and it had been in the high 80's that day, so the interior of the restaurant was amazingly hot and uncomfortable, but we didn't mind as the food was THAT good. It's reall... read more

My new favorite – I love Buddha so much! The service is great, it has a nice ambiance, and the food is wonderful. Flavorful, fresh tasting, always prepared correctly. Take out is just as good as dining in, and you don't have to wait amongst others dining like some of the Thai places in this area. Crispy Garlic Chicken, Fried Squash, Phad Thai are all excellent. I can't recommend this place more.

YUM!!!!!!!! – I almost hate to give away the secret about this place. My husband and I went last night for the first time, on a neighbor's recommendation, and we were impressed. He had a chicken with fried rice dish, which was good; seemed pretty "normal". I decided to be a little more adventurous and tried the crispy garlic chicken which was OUT OF THIS WORLD delicious. Additionally, the service was great (energetic and hard-working); we had no reservation, but were seated right away and they went out of their way to make s... read more

Yum! – The best Thai food we have found in the Seattle area so far. Their flavors are exquisite! A smidge on the pricey side, but well worth it! Definitely dine in, instead of taking out.

The Thai Search is Over! – When we moved to West Seattle from out of state, we began trying out new Thai places. After several horrible meals, we found Buddha Ruksa. They have great ambiance. really really good thai food and fast friendly service as well as decent prices. Now we eat here almost once a week, we love it!

Best Thai Ever.... – This is West Seattle's best kept secret! The food is the star of this place. I've had so many different items from the menu and this place never disappoints. The garlic chicken will leave you wanting more, and the panang curry is one of the best I've ever had. You just can't go wrong here. The atmospehre is cozy and great for small parties, but the take out is always fresh and delicious. Do yourself a favor and eat here!!!

One of the best Thai resturaunts around – Budda Ruska is the best Thai resturaunt I've dined at in the Seattle area. The flavors ARE authentic (I should know I've spent 2 years in Thailand). Unlike many Thai resturaunts where an Asian nationality just picks up a Thai cookbook and calls the place Thai, this place is run by Thais. This is one of the few resturaunts where I can use Thai to communicate. The crispy duck and chicken with crisp basil is my favorite dish. The curries are flavourful. The service is EXCELLENT. They ha... read more

Yummy Thai in West Seattle! – All right, this is a nice little restaurant! The food is delish, esp. the prawns-in-a-blanket - crunchy and flavorful. Other than that I've just tried the Pad Thai and bites of my husband's dishes - all have been tasty. The service is good - attentive and polite but not annoying. Just the way I like it. Nice ambience too, not too big, just a tasteful quiet little place. I will have many prawns-in-a-blanket there!
