Seems like they started going out of their way not to do business. Never had a problem with State Farm anywhere in the United States.
As an adult I know that I am ultimately responsible for being current with my auto coverage. Today, 1-31-2020 I recieved two cancellation of insurance notices from La. DMV. It seems that my and my daughters insurance, through Bud Gregg State Farm had elapsed Oct 17th, 2019. Prior to this I would recieve mail correspondence from this company or phone requests to que that payment was due. For whatever reason this did not occur and my policy was allowed to expire.
