The staff apparently thinks this is the 50s and must practice segregation, but against Hispanics. My husband, his brother and another family member came to eat here, and were immediately treated with attitude. They were sat in the front (a very hot area and after being in the heat all day they prefer the air conditioning) my brother in law very politely asked to be seated in the middle where there was plenty of open tables, and the staff seemed appalled that he even thought that was okay. This place used to be really decent. I can’t believe anyone gave the food a 5 star salute. Someone who’s never had a steak at a place like Morton’s or ribs at a place like forella’s in Kansas City. Those are 5 star. Funny, they charge like Morton’s or Forellas. One star is generous. The last time I had a chicken fried steak. By the breading it looked huge, but looks are deceiving. The meat was about 4” in diameter, but only about 3/4s was edible. So tough it was a choking hazard.
You won’t miss anything if you skip that place. I had a green salad and brisket sandwich. The “ green salad “ was Iceberg with 4 cherry tomatoes - half of the iceberg was bad. The sandwich was baby size - I mean less than 3” in diameter… and the meat was so dry you couldn’t swallow it.
