Ken Buchmyer started working at Penguin Pools during his Jr. high school years. He began as a yard boy, cleaning covers and unloading trucks. When he turned 16, he began painting the white lines for the pool layout in preparation for the dig. The following summer, at age 17, he was working full time on the inground crew. He continued learning everything about inground pools and progressed to foreman of his own crew. I don't know where to start. My experience with this store was beyond awful and disappointing. I bought an 18' round pool. When they delivered all the items, they called me saying that they delivered the wrong one. They proceeded to pick up the one that they left and gave us the "right one." When I hired the crew, almost and the end, the liner didn't fit. They have helped me a lot with chemicals & tools needed for my pool.
3 years ago I couldn't get my pool filter to work properly and dealt with a green pool for half of the summer. It was a Pentair DE filter that could only run on low because a weird plastic piece was cracked and I couldn't find a replacement after visiting 6 pool stores. Buchmyer's came out and replaced the craptastic Pentair filter with a Hayward sand filter and they used the existing Pentair 15.HP pump to save me some money.
