WOW! 5/5 We used smoking oak (Bubba Q) for a birthday party in Sept 2025 and we couldn't be happier. The service was top notch, Tyler was very helpful and was quick to respond to all my inquiries. The food was delivered on time and tasted incredible! We had the brisket and chicken and Our guests are still talking about how great the food was!! We will definitely be using them to caterer any other events we have and highly recommend Smoking Oak!
Tyler and Anni were the PERFECT choice as our wedding caterers. I had sent multiple emails out to various companies and right from the start, Tyler's warm and professional demeanor were apparent. We loved going out to Didsbury to try the food out and when our wedding day arrived, our guests RAVED about their food! I especially loved their brisket and jalapeno poppers. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Especially as an alternative to other Calgarian caterers.
We were looking for a unique and traditional bbq dinner to surprise family with. We were referred to BubbaQ Smokehouse by a friend, saying, you will not believe the food and service!!! Well, BubbaQ and Tyler did not disappoint!!! From the communication trying to define what we needed and then the pick up at their shop, this is a first class operation with amazing brisket, beans and M&C. We will be telling everyone we know about this hidden gem in Didsbury.
Used BubbaQ to cater my wedding and they did not disappoint! Guests and myself couldn't get enough of the brisket, it was insanely delicious. Some of the best (many of us) had ever had. The ribs were moist and delicious and the sides (mac and cheese and creamy potatoes) were also tasty. Enjoyed dealing with Tyler via email, he was very quick to respond.
Tyler and his team put together an incredible meal for 50 people for a Christmas event. The booking process was very easy. Tyler replies quickly to messages and is flexible with any changes. They arrived in good time with all the food and it was ready to serve as soon as the group was ready to eat. There was high praise all around from the group for the brisket and ribs, as well as the sides. I would highly recommend BubbaQ/Smokin' Oak for your catering needs!
