great neighboorhood bar – low key, good drinks, great outside area... Just a nice, normal local bar in the midst of so many hipster, trendy east village bars...
Great find – Friend who lives above this place brought me here. Hadn't been in it since days when it used to be that pricey wierd winebar. It is a great bar now. Laid back, not too loud music, nice people at bar. Felt like everyone knew each other. Very inviting. love the candle-light and brick walls. Got drunk on the Sangria..! Will be back
Great times at Bua! – I've been frequenting Bua for a while now and it never grows old. There's always a friendly face behind the bar. Midweek the clientelle is easygoing and the atmosphere relaxed. At weekends the bar filles up and the crowd is energetic and upbeat. Whatever the night - its always a great place to meet new people. The space itself is incredible and the music is great. You wont regret paying Bua a visit. Like me ... you'll be back!
Fine Bar – It has grown on me. It used to get way too crowded, but it has calmed down and is a nice neighborhood spot.
An east village gem!!! – What a place! I've been there a few times now and I'm yet to have an experience other than totally perfect, the bartenders are all beautiful and very friendly, without coming across as fake. The clientele are really cool and not at all pretentious for this part of town, and the drinks were really good and quite resonable, I'm going to suggest we have are next staff party there.
Bua is Butastic – Great place for just a few drinks, or to hang up your hat and spend the night. Great for sangria or asking the bartenders make something new for you.
feels so right – i go to lots of bars this is the most beautiful unpretentious bar in years. How It manages to be both is down to the simple rustic decor, the candles, the eclectic music, and the staff. There is something just right about this place. It is not trying too hard. I like how the bar area and lounge are somewhat seperated, so u can sit at the bar and be talked to or chill in the lounge with friends. A Great Intro to Real New York – I am in town visiting a local NY friend, and asked to see the "Real" New York. Skip the tourist traps. Lets go someplace great. She brought me to Bua. It's fantastic! The candlelight on exposed brick decor, great music, and friendly bartenders that nearly have your drink poured by the time you finish your request all add up to a great experience.
Nothing But Love – Love the Bar. Love the Bartenders. Love the Owners. Great bar really. I had a friend visit from out of town and he said they make the best gin martinis. When they see me walk in the door they practically have my drink waiting on the bar for me. I really like the new space downstairs where there is more space to hang with friends.
