All around excellent I love the Copper Beech Inn both for the restaurant and for the rooms. Each room is a little different - the guest house has a different feel than the main house, but both are equally charming. The restaurant offers a wide variety of traditional French cuisine. Though it is a little pricey, the service is exceptional, the wine list is extensive, and the food is outstanding. This is a wonderful stopover in the beautiful town of Ivoryton/Essex and a great place to spend a romantic weekend.
A Great Place for a Wedding Reception I recently attended the wedding of my cousin at Copper Beech Inn. The couple were married in the garden, and the elegant reception was held inside. Everything just flowed. The food was superb, as usual. The light drizzle that day added to the romantic ambiance. The staff did an exquisite job. I hold fond memories of this day in Ivoryton,CT.
Wow All of the rooms look beautiful. There is a lot to do in Essex so this would be a place I would consider if staying over. They servea a full breakfast and many of the rooms have views out to the woods. Off season specials can't be beat. Check it out.
PERFECT romantic getaway We stayed in the "red room" upstairs in the main house. It was great getting dressed up for dinner and only having to walk down the stairs to a four star restaurant. The room was well-appointed, with a huge very comfortable 4 poster antique bed. The bathroom was my favorite part. It had a huge claw-footed soaking tub. I think I took 6 baths in 3 days! I can't wait to go visit here again!
