Steven Bruman is the worst kind of lawyer. If you want a lawyer who will string you along while racking up fees to get himself paid but get you nowhere, Bruman is your guy. If there was a button for zero stars I'd enter zero stars. Do NOT, I repeat do NOT hire this man. He will betray you any chance he gets and he will not defend you when someone is talking down to you. ALL he cares about it money. Not your children, not your sanity and not for what is right. Mr. Bruman only cares about billing you.
My husband hired this guy did our divorce. We were set to agree on basically everything and he declined my written offer that my husband and I already agreed upon. He's forcing us in to mediation which isn't even necessary. I kind of feel bad for my husband. He's going to be charged a lot of fees. And I'm also going to end up paying unnecessary legal costs because of the guy.
I am still in the fight, but wondering if anyone has filed a grievance on him? I understand that is a big deal to attorneys.
Steven represented me for 13+ years........from getting me SOLE custody of my son, when he was 5yrs., to having all the missed child support, when he turned 18yrs, totaled up with a 10% per yr. interest. My son is now 27 and I still receive the missing CS to the tune of $400.00 per month ! I am now talking with him to establish Grand Parental Rights for visitation of my two Grandchildren. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !
Quoted $2000 retainer and said $10,000 would be the highest to expect. Never received an invoice until I asked multiple times and the 3 I finally got from his office were all different and very vague descriptions of charges. Within a matter of weeks he had racked up over $20,000 in charges and by the end of trial it was $41,000. Bruman worked on this case for a total of 2 months.
