Had a great time kayaking the Brule River! We had our own kayaks, just needing transport to our drop zone, but they were very prompt and careful with our gear during transport! A beautiful river to spend a morning on.
Had a great time! The check in staff were helpful and friendly, and the shuttle driver was knowledgeable on the river and area.
We had a great time. 11 of us in a mix of kayaks and canoes did the stretch from Stone Bridge to Winneboujou. Easy paddle. Saw a bobcat and a porcupine. Great birding too. Had such a good time five of us returned to do the Winneboujou run the next day.
I could write a book about I think 15 trips some humoristic some disastrous. Early spring snow and ice on shore very cold water broken canoes lost equipment I’m lifeguard trained in cold water panicked struggling victim rescues very dangerous in fast water BE PREPARED is all I can say. Wide forestry is fussy about fires outside of designated spots read and follow rules WISC
Do not book a trip, they are closed for the season. The website and Google hours appear to be open, but they refunded my payment and are working on updating it now. Thanks!
