Literally the saddest bagel I have ever had. Got the herby turkey sandwich and there was virtually no cream cheese on it, about one piece of turkey and not much else. And the iced coffee was brown water.
I ordered 3 dozen bagels two days in advance for my son’s volleyball team. Teenagers are very picky, so I was pretty specific about what they wanted - plain, everything (seeds) and cinnamon sugar. I sent someone who doesn’t speak English to pick up the order (he doesn’t speak much English, but it would be just to grab some bags!) he attendant spoke something to him, but he didn’t understand, she just laughed at him and shoved a lot of unwanted things in the bag, and I had to throw half of it away. Absolutely the worst salmon bagel. Overwhelmed by stale tomatoes, too many capers and hardly any cream cheese to balance. It was terrible. Threw it away.
I’m not sure what happened to Brueggers the last year or two. The quality is way down and the bagels have changed. I’ve been eating here for 40 years (Boston, Milton and HINGHAM) and to be honest I won’t be back unless some changes are made. First the order of system changed from ordering from the person making your bagel to a cash register and this changes the experience for the worse. Don’t like it and I miss the old way.
