I used to be a big fan of Bruegger's bagels, but for the last couple years they have gone severely downhill. Considering how many different stores that have provided bad service and food, I believe it's due to a change in top management policy, or decline in the company overall. After several months of avoiding the chain, I tried them again only to be met with disappointment. I was really disappointed with my experience at Bruegger’s. If you’re going to market yourself as a “New York–style” bagel shop, there’s a certain expectation that comes with that — especially when it comes to cream cheese. The amount they put on my bagel was extremely thin, to the point where it barely covered the surface. That’s just not what people expect from a true New York–style bagel.
