Most knowledgeable, thorough, friendly doctor I have EVER known ( been a patient for over 20 years). Has the heart of a saint.
Are you sure you reviewed Dr. Bruce Menkcowitz? Dr. Mencowitz (of Einstein Hospital} is the smartest, sweetest, knowledgeable, attentive Doctor my family has ever been to. You must be confusing him with someone else!
He's been my "go to" orthopedic surgeon since 1983. I felt comfotable with him from my first appointment. Dr. Menkowitz only operated when it was absolutely necessary, after exhausting all conservative treatment. He spends however much time the patient needs, and this occassionally results in longer waiting times. But, rest assurred you will receive all the time necessary to evaluate, diagnose & develop a treatment plan that you need. I don't know why these people say they waited and hour or two? I have waited no more than 15min ever. BEST DOC EVER. The only one who was rational about Total Knee Replacement. Unfortunately my next surgery is the last day he is doing surgery, otherwise I'd recommend him to the world!
They make you wait way too long, been here twice and had to wait over two hours and over 1 1/2 hours. Not worth it.
Would not recommend due to the fact that every time I bring my mother here they make us wait an hour and a half to see doctor. He's not that great of a doctor anyway since he has not been able to resolve my mother's problem.
No follow up when called in pain. Poor personality. Doesn't seem to care.
I first went to him with unbearable pain. Procedure went smoothly and perfectly. I'm now living a pain free life.
Dr Menkowitz is a great professional but he is surrounded by a nasty staff. They will make you regret going there. The waiting time can be between 1 and 2 hours, so be prepared.
