I have struggled with a perforated ear drum my entire life. He is the first doctor to respect how I feel, calm my fears and efficiently find a solution to the problem. He has always been very patient and helpful too me. And for those complaining that he reruns tests like he’s one of the best in the country, that’s because he literally IS. Our son had been dealing with a couple of failed cholesteatoma surgeries down here in KC a few years back. He was looking at a third "canal wall down" surgery which was going to be rough for him being a triathlete / swimmer. Luckily, we did some research and found Dr Gantz, who performed the surgery and rebuilt the canal wall, which still to this day blows my mind. If you are looking for a doctor with no bedside manner and no concern or care, he's your guy. If you want a truly caring professional, move on quickly.

Cold, arrogant, and indifferent. He showed absolutely no compassion and had little interest in listening to me or helping me. I waited forever to see him and when he finally did come into the room, he was in a big hurry to leave. He spent more time reporting and looking at his resident (who was awesome, btw) than me and acted like any question was a grand imposition.
