Our daughter had a vestibular schwanoma at the age of 16. We are 7 hours away and live in Kansas. The skill set that Dr. Gantz and his team have are unmatched in the state of Kansas, and even ENTs in the Wichita area admit this. If I could sum up our UIHC care, it would be refined experience. From the nursing staff, to the residents, fellowship MDs and Dr. Gantz. Highly recommended, even if he is a 7 hour trip away. UIHC has care that is on an entirely nothing level of professionalism.
I have struggled with a perforated ear drum my entire life. He is the first doctor to respect how I feel, calm my fears and efficiently find a solution to the problem. He has always been very patient and helpful too me. And for those complaining that he reruns tests like he’s one of the best in the country, that’s because he literally IS. Our son had been dealing with a couple of failed cholesteatoma surgeries down here in KC a few years back. He was looking at a third "canal wall down" surgery which was going to be rough for him being a triathlete / swimmer. Luckily, we did some research and found Dr Gantz, who performed the surgery and rebuilt the canal wall, which still to this day blows my mind.
