Bruce Hale overpromised and under delivered. I contacted Bruce for branding work and upon learning his fees, I was clear that it is not in my budget. However, based on his work displayed in his portfolio, I went 2.5 times above my budget. The work he delivered was a 50$ work. It was bits and pieces taken from his previous works that had no harmony or soul. On the bright side, he is a point of reference for all my business meetings and also we get a good laugh when we discuss his work. I learnt a lesson for USD27K.
This man is one of the best. Last of the designers who used pencils and brushes, before the computer. They pointed to starbucks logo in a design class in santa barbara city college. I worked with him once. Learned alot. He should be teaching.
