I was ignored, misdiagnosed and made to think I was “fine” when I wasn’t. I was a patient from adolescence until my 20’s. First early childhood then through my teens (family medicine). And then at 20 (since I was a current patient) I was accepted to the STARS program for opiate addiction. He was ALWAYS soft and kind. Smiles and pleasantry’s. But in no way present. Most caring doctor there is around. He listens to your problems then sets up a plan to give you the best aftercare and treatment so you can have a normal quality of life
Dr. Matthews has treated me over 10 years. He has always been a very kind and caring doctor. He always has time to listen and never rushes you through your visit. He even researched my case history and came up with ideas to treat me that specialists in Portland failed to find in my treatment. His nurse is especially kind and caring professional also. Very hard to find care givers like this anymore!
