We got passed by a large transport truck on the Trans-Canada Highway as we made our way to Nova Scotia from Ontario for a 2 week road trip. The truck threw up a stone and chipped our windshield. Fortunately, the chip and resulting cracks around it were smaller than a quarter, so were repairable; however, we were worried that if we did not get it repaired immediately, the cracks would propagate resulting in the windshield having to be replaced at a much greater cost than a repair.
