We've never seen such poor attention, patient and bedside manner from a doctor, Dr. Lathon Worthington. Upon the patient explaining a certain head wound and definite bleeding the doctor insisted there was none and the blood was from an elbow laceration, he insisted the x-rays and scans would have indicated such. WRONG! We had to show him the blood accumulation on the pillow and point out actual bleeding puncture wounds! I debated whether I should share my experience here, but after receiving a message from Hendrick asking for my feedback I figure why not. I visited the ER to receive treatment for a dog bite that occurred while working. I had been bitten twice, once on my stomach, and again on my shin. Both areas were quite painful and bleeding at the time of my visit. I wasn’t quite sure what they were going to do for me, but I believed I required a tetanus shot at the least. The nurses and techs were all amazing, I would rate them as 5 stars. But the ER doctor...he just didn't seem to care about why I was in pain. He gave me pain meds and discharged me before we had the results from my CT scan. He said they'd call if they saw anything but he didn't think they would find anything. I was super frustrated that after being in pain for a week that he was so indifferent. If nothing was found from the scan, shouldn't there be some kind of follow up as to what is going on? I was visiting from out of town and had to take a trip to the ER. I had the best experience the staff was very helpful and attentive. You don’t get this kind of treatment in the big city where I’m from. I’m grateful for the great care God Bless.
