Update. 06/12/2026 This review was started 4 years ago and they still do not have any viable health professionals, or, actual doctors at this location. Biggest joke here is that VA's website states Brownwood patients are EXTREMELY happy with service here. 96% to be exact! More BS and lies from our respected government....🤣 In my previous review I praised the staff of Brownwood VA. Those people are no longer employed there. Friendly bunch of ladies at the check-in to assist you and Dr Roberts is the best VA doctor I've had in 40 years
My 86 year old friend has been waiting 3 weeks for a referral to an orthopedic doctor because of knee pain. We spent the morning on the phone trying to get it straight. VA transferred the call to community service who never took the call. I finally hung up after being on hold for 40 minutes. I know this is not all the Brownwood clinic but it should be their responsibility to follow-up on referrals.
If you’re coming here to document injuries or do checkup’s you will be fine as long as you are blunt with your expectations. If you are coming here to be treated you are SOL, cooked, turned away. The place has never gotten any better. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and it’s always we don’t have this or your doctor is not here or go to a local clinic we can’t help you. 10 years bro and all you can improve is the computers you take notes on?
