My mom's dream was to visit the East Coast, see where her roots in this country started, and to experience a lobster roll. We hit the jackpot with Brown's Clam Shanty. It was recommended by a really nice local guy at a small fresh lobster place 1/2 mile up the road. I am sure glad that we took his advice! My mom loved every bite of her lobster roll. Everything was delicious. Steamers were excellent and my kids loved the chicken tenders and fried shrimp. And my husband and I loved the seafood chowder.
Best fried clams and lobster rolls in all of Maine, good tasting, cooked properly and delicious. I have tried all the local restaurants and local clam shops, by far the best.
One more stop lobster dinner before heading south out of Maine. Went with the cold lobster roll this time. Was very good. I ordered the special. Lobster roll and clam chowder. Glad I did. Clam chowder was creamy as I like it. We sat at the picnic tables outside for a little while and took the rest on the road. Bae’s onion rings were really good.
