Brown Sugar is a local Bondi bistro, tucked away on Curlewis Street, just a block away from the beach. We're open for dinner Tuesday to Sunday and breakfast and lunch on weekends. Brown Sugar is all about healthy, hand-made traditional dishes with influences from the Mediterranean regions of Italy and France. Our seasonal menu is composed of the finest, locally sourced, ethically harvested produce that we can get our hands on. You'll be treated to food that is creative, full of flavour and cooked with care and passion.

Perhaps just an off day. It took around 45 minutes to receive two portions of poached eggs (with cold ingredients like avocado and salmon) and one pancake plate. We thought, 'Okay, maybe they're just a bit slow—it happens.' However, when the food arrived, there were mistakes in every single plate: both egg dishes were missing the avocado we had requested, and the pancakes came without the berries. I took my mum and my sister, who are visiting from Brazil, to Brown Sugar and we had the best night! Nina was our waitress and she was absolutely brillant! The food was incredible too!
Nina was the best, she brought us towels and clothes to warm us up in the rain. Give her a pay rise.
Full marks all round and not close to being anything less. Always return once every few months. It’s that good (the beef in particular)
