I saw Holly for four sessions. Session 1-3 she would literally nod her head the whole time and not offer any feedback. At session three I was very clear that I needed help/techniques to learn to deal with my husband's mistress being around our kids. At the end of that session, she simply gave me the name for a book to read and asked me to read the first 5 chapters. Holly probably saved my life this year. I was deeply depressed, and struggling with a wide range of issues. Holly was my counselor for over 5 years during the hardest time of my life. My 28 year old son had just died and my marriage was falling apart. I was stuck in my grief and overwhemed. At first, she seemed okay. However, she turned out to be extremely dismissive of the issues I had when she wanted to deal with something else instead, and also supportive of conversion therapy to the point where she pushed her expectations of my own gender onto me.
