One more small group getting screwed over by BPT. They are paying for all the 5-star reviews. Update 8/2024 Still haven't paid our small group for tickets to an event we held 2 years ago! Never, never use this company. They don't pay. Butcher took the money and ran to his mansion in Vashon.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! Either as a ticket seller or ticket buyer because the people you are purchasing for WILL NOT get paid. I have been pursuing them since August of 2023 for over $5,000 owed to our small theatre company. They promised to have our money sent multiple times without any action, and they cannot be reached via phone OR e-mail. The best you can hope for is an automated response that says someone will be in contact, but again, no. This is a scam, and now we are out thousands of dollars.
They owe me a lot of money - never paid for events that we held. Over 3 years ago- phone lines disconnected - my account is no longer valid. Terrible and shady company. Do not go business with them. Received 7 emails from them in March of 2024 claiming what they owe me would be deposited into my bank account within 10 days, that was over a month ago and I’ve received nothing. These people are criminals and will take your money and not pay you.if I could give negative stars I would.
My experience with Brown Paper Tickets for our community theater production was extremely positive. Their platform is not only user-friendly but also offers great flexibility in ticketing options, which our audience appreciated. The fees are reasonable, and their commitment to providing excellent customer service stood out. They made the ticketing aspect of our event worry-free, allowing us to focus more on the production itself.
Stay away! They don’t pay and they don’t communicate. They still owe $9000+ to the community theater I volunteered for and it’s now 3 years later without seeing a penny of it. In October 2022 a press release on their website said they are being acquired, and they’ll pay what they owe - but there was no ETA given.
