I was experiencing extreme pain in my hands and all the way to my neck and shoulder, the right side being more intense. After testing nerve response, it was determined that all of the pain was caused by acute carpal tunnel syndrome. The doctor said that surgery was needed on the right hand and the left would need to be done in the near future. I opted to have both done at the same time. I'm glad that I did so.
