We hired a lawyer from Brown and Brown to represent us in buying a house. There were things the contractor hadn't done so we didn't want to close by the date set. Our lawyer said we'd forfeit our deposit if we delayed the closing. So we closed. Turns out there was a conservation lien on the property that our lawyer never told us about.
