He was wonderful. He took time and really listened. That’s so important now that our health industry has gone thru so many changes!
Let me start by saying that Dr. Papagikos is an excellent doctor and I do not think that I could have been in better hands. However, my rating is for his office staff and for the billing department, or at least the way that they do their billing/coding. I am being told, since they are considered part of the hospital, that they are forced to bill appointments as follow ups, not doctor's visits. So, my deductible has to apply, not my co-pay. She approached my mother with there is my problem patient in my presence. She is not professional.
I had him as my DR for a few years, then I had a heart problem and was seeing cardiologists quite a bit. I always gave him as my 'primary care dr' , how stupid it was really. You see, if you don't see him as much as he wants, apparently he 'drops you' and you would have to 're-apply' for him to be your dr. Well I assumed he was my Dr but he had long forgotten me. He is arrogant, but I forgave him for that, as many Drs are, but I would steer clear of him if you really want someone who actually cares for your health.

Dr. Melin is the rudest, least compassionate doctor I have ever met. He isn't my doctor but my mother's. He has absolutely no bedside manner at all. Makes you wait forever to see him and unless you request to see him, he has his P. A. meet with you. At our last visit, he came in the room and asked if she wanted surgery and when she said at her age that she couldn't go through surgery but wanted to know what else there was, he cut her off, said he would see her in a few months and have her get an x-ray before coming back, and... read more
Admin staff rude and ineffective. Refused to access Their records to assess past treatment results needed for new appointment.
My husband and I first interacted with Dr. Pathak in 2021 at the hospital in New Hanover and had a good experience. After a recent infection and being seen at a different hospital, he refused to help us. I have never encountered someone so cold. I thought in the end doctors were supposed to be there to help and provide care. I was crying on the phone asking for help.
