The office manager and the front office staff are very rude, unprofessional, and unethical. This is a very undesirable practice because of this. There is always some time of insurance claim issue with this office and they always are incorrect. I was treated so poorly on my last visit to this office I will"NEVER" step foot in there again. That's a promise!
I started going there in October of 2015, and always am real comfortable with the office staff & esp Dr, Hughes. They all are real nice & takes time with you.
Moved to the area recently so needed a primary care provider. Went in 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork as requested. Staff did not provide documents until appointment time so wasn't seen at scheduled time. Waited in waiting room a long time then was called to room for vital signs. CAN was unfriendly and harsh in tone. Escorted to a room where I waited more until I could sit on my spine any longer. My daughter lowered the exam table so I could lay down and we waited more. Very disappointed in Dr. Black's assistant and staff! Echoing what Wes S said below. I called 3 weeks ago to setup an appointment due to my blood pressure being high. I was told to leave a message with Dr. Black's assistant which I did. Despite her voice mail greeting asking not to leave multiple messages, I left a second message a week later. Hi this is Dr. Clifford (board certified in Family Medicine and trained at Mayo Clinic and Alabama) from Trinity Medical Clinic in Chelsea 678-7779. Just wanted to let Dr. Brewer's patients know that I am happy to see them while he is temporarily out of the office.
Dr. Huner was rushed to finish my appointment. The receptionists were not patient or friendly to talk to me. The lab assistant was no good. She was nervous to take my sample and she failed at the first time. My preventive care visit should be free (cause I have done the same tests in other places with full coverage). Yet I was charged for the service. I called the office more than 10 times in different time frames within 2 weeks. But no real person answered. I have left messages, and no one replied. The emergency room referred me to Dr Stone because I have 2 kidney stones. I called to make an appointment and because I don't have insurance but had cash to pay for the visit and any extra expenses they refused to see me. What a JOKE!
Kind, compassionate, and very knowledgable physician and staff. The practice is a winner!
