VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I made reservations 6+ weeks to celebrate a 90th birthday with 25 people. We had tried calling all week to prepay for everyone and add a few more to our party. No one answered and no special messages in the voicemail. Everyone showed up today, 3/22, and the restaurant was completely closed. A sign on the door read that they were closed for maintenance until 3/12. Again, we all were so disappointed in the moment. We can’t seem to find a day when they’re open, even when it advertises that they are open. Be sure to call before going to make sure they are open.
We had come up here from KC to visit Abilene. Hoping to try the food but unfortunately they are permanently closed.
Our daughter made reservations for 11:30 am but she got no response and when we got there. No one was there. Another group showed up that had reservations but couldn’t get in either. We went elsewhere for our dining. It isn’t worth the trip.
Many people from out of town, including us, visit this place. Today, March 7, we drove from 60 miles away to visit. Before coming, we checked Google Maps, their website, and even called to confirm they'd be open. All three agreed. The recording on their phone line also gave regular hours. We got there to discover they've been temporarily closed for more than a week.
