I have been in the senior housing industry for 25 years and recently retired. This community has impressed me since the day they opened. They have some of the best activity programs I have seen and I have been to 80% of all the communities in the Portland Metro area. They have well trained and very caring staff. I was in the community at least 40 times in the past few years. I always observed attentive, tender care. The owners are great and Aldrin could not be kinder. I enthusiastically give them 5 stars.

Don't be fooled! There's a huge difference between care led by compassion and care led by money. While the beautiful building may appear clean and well maintained on the surface, the behind the scenes is deeply lacking. I highly encourage you to look elsewhere if looking for safe and dignified care for your loved one. Brookside Memory Care is one of the better care facilities for your loved one with dementia and/or Alzheimer's disease. It is clearly obvious when walking through the doors that this facility cares about their employees, but most important, the residents. All the residents appear to be happy in their daily routines and the staff really same to care and clearly make a difference with the residents! I would highly recommend this facility to anyone in search of a memory care for their loved ones!

I could not ask for a better place for my wife. All aspects of Brookside from the facility, to management, and care giving staff are more than first class. They are understanding, caring, professional, and responsive both to my wife's needs as well as toward me. I highly recommend this facility.

My sister moved my mother into Brookside in the spring of 2023 after a year and a half in another memory care facility that quickly went down hill under new ownership/management. To say Brookside was a huge improvement is a huge understatement. I would imagine, often when a facility is being chosen, first time families do not know everything to look out for and first impressions may be great, but may not tell the whole story of the level of care their loved one will be under.
