Dave and his team went above and beyond to do the needed repairs to my car. They kept me informed every step of the way. They listened and were great at explaining the repairs that were needed. It was affordable and quick. This was my 4rd repair on 4 different vehicles and I could not be any happier with the service I was given. I will definitely be back next time I find myself in need of mechanical work. They know their stuff and are polite and courteous.
My friend who works on his own cars for the most part told me that this is the place he takes all his cars for repairs that he cant manage. I have been a customer for a little over a year and have to say it is one of my favorite places because where else can you find a full serve gas station. Worst Brake Job Ever... Even After Second Chance – I have been going to Brookside 66 for a long time and have had both positive and negative experiences. After my most recent work I will no longer take my car there. I recently paid to have my brakes replaced because they were squealing and worn down. Post-brake job they still squealed but worse. High Priced & No Bargain – I have taken two vehicles to this shop and asked for an estimate for other work. They are no better than the dealership when it comes to saving money. The service manager Dave is lacking in customer service to say the least. Buyer Beware! You'll be better off finding another shop or going to the dealer. I'd rate the work as average.
Great Service – Ive been trading with Brookside 66 for about 30 years and have found them to be an excellent source outside of expencieve dealerships. ASE certified mechanics with a wealth of experiance in many makes of cars. I understand you can't please all the people all the time but i'll bet they're in the high 90 percentage of satisfied customers For decent , honest and reliable service they get my vote.
Perfect Neighborhood Service Station – Can't really speak to the negative reviews that have been posted, but I just stopped in at Brookside 66 'cause I couldn't get my hood fully closed and latched after helping jump a friend's dead battery. Super nice guy at Brookside 66 solved the problem in less than 2 minutes--he had a magic touch with the latch. And he didn't charge me anything. That's what I need in a neighborhood service station.
Great FAST Service! – I don't know about the other reviews, but we have NO problems with Brookside 66. We take all of our cars there and they get it done quick. You are not able to make an appointment, but they generally get you done in about half of a day. Prices are the same as dealership or better. They are a small local company also needing to make some money. I will always go to Brookside 66!
Don't Use. Ever. – I'm a Brookside resident here in Kansas City. This shop is in my neighbor hood, but here's the deal. My car is a 2005 model with just over 55,000 miles. I needed the standard $12 inspection that most shops will see you on-the-spot. These guys insisted that I needed an appointment. Because of little flexibility in my schedule, I made an appointment. DONT be the next to get ripped off!!! – I took my car in and they charged me $370 to fix my problem, however it did not get fixed. When I made them aware of this, they looked again and said they did not have someone on staff that was experienced enough to fix the problem with my car, which was not uncommon. What did I get for the $370?? I'm not sure either. I guess I got a good lesson of who not to trust when working on vehicles.
