Lauryn D'Amato was my SLP. She was the sweetest. I had had my speech impediment for 9 1/2 years and never knew what exactly it was, I didn't have a name for it. After seeing Lauryn she put a name to it and I found out what I had from all these years. Lauryn was very warm, helpful and concerned about my issue and was adamant about getting me all the help I needed. I left feeling more confident with strategies for my speech impediment. My husband ,Dan, had a great experience at the Park Avenue Brooks Rehab! Katelin Nelson was his PT, and she was FANTASTIC! She was always jovial, and knew exactly how to motivate Dan (a stroke victim who has had multiple brain surgeries).
I’ve been to Brooks numerous times after my stroke in 2020 and have always been treated with special care by every PT instructor. Recently I was treated at Brooks Park Ave, and I received extremely beneficial care. I entered the program using a walking stick and emerged several weeks later able to walk with confidence and without a walking stick. I can’t recommend Dr.Sheila Nowlin enough!!!! She has been incredible in helping me recover and strengthen my shoulder. Thanks to her expertise and guidance, I’ve been able to get back to the activities I love- paddle boarding, flow art, and working out without pain holding me back. She takes the time to really listen, explain everything clearly and customizes therapy to fit my individual needs. If anyone is looking for top tier physical therapy services- she’s the one!
