The wood sold there is the best hardwood around. It is not wet and burns nicely. One has to know how to start a fire. The price is fair. They are open from mid October to mid April and only from 10-2 on Saturdays. It’s a small operation and the quality is great.

I saw Jimmies site looking for some rough cut lumber, saw the reviews. Brother Jimmy passed some years ago, Jimmy was a workin man, a good man. I would imagine the firewood was left up to the wife, I have driven by the yard on many occasions, I have noticed a stockpile of firewood off and on. I guess she tries to handle the biz on her own, God Bless her. so that being said, I have noticed reviews reading, ''The wood was wet" -''don't like the hours''- couldn't get it started. OK, UPDATE.... BE PREPAIRED!!

First of all their hours are terrible. 10am to 2pm on Saturday only. They only take cash. I went there because we needed seasoned firewood. Was told that that is all they sell. You can buy as much or as little as you need. Pick up only. Bought about $70 worth. Got it home and that evening we wanted a nice fire. Tried 5 times to get it going, the wood is so wet that it will not flame up. Buy from someone else if you want to burn it right away. They do not sell seasoned wood but will tell you it is.
