My husband in the Brooklyn VA hospital right we explained that we are from out of town and I had no where to go and know no one in Brooklyn I was told not my problem last a night sleep in my car I could not afford $200.00 a night I had to ask for clean pajamas for himno bath or shower was offered to him he Is also the same socks they give him in the ER for day and a half this how my husband was treated so far
This hospital is not a welcome place for this Vietnam Veteran and wife. I experienced intense abdominal pain at 1 am, while visiting Coney Island. I called the Brooklyn VA, they said that we could go to the emergency room. Upon arrival, they registered and accepted me and the doctors are good. Once we knew we'd be here more than 1 night, my wife researched and asked if she could stay overnight. She also found local hotels to be $200/night. She requested to stay overnight at the hospital. Very very very little staff. Security waved me in the gate without me rolling down my window or seeing my face.
