I will not tolerate any hate on Dr.Harmssen. Mind u she’s the only doctor that comes and sees you right away after you’re admitted to the floor. One of the few that is caring with passion, that explains to u the game plan. This woman is god send and if u didn’t have a good experience then you should be evaluated bc what else could u need from her. That is all Shout out to the queen
Dr. Harmssen is the only attentive MD at Adventist. She shows up, she listens and she cares. Love her!!
Dr. Harmssen is a DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) rather than an MD. Regardless of the degree distinction, her bedside manner is rigid and impersonal. While I do not question her knowledge of protocols, she was far too bureaucratic, instead of being patient-centered and individualized in her approach to care.

Dr. Harmssen is not an “MD” but a “DO” (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) - I am not sure how the training differs, but she is currently ill qualified to handle patient care.
