My mom has been at Meridian for about 4 months. The building is beautiful, new, clean and well kept. The grounds are lovely. Beautiful flowers, walking paths, putting green and small streams and ponds. My mom lives upstairs where the elderly requiring more care are kept. The CNA's are overworked and it shows. The nurses are not helpful and lazy. I visit mom about 3 to 4 times a week and felt compelled to help out with keeping room clean, helping with toileting duties, changing clothes. The health center has was to high of a turn around, every time I am there I see several new CNA'S. I can not possibly see how that is good for the residents, Prior to the new management it seemed as though the staff stayed longer and management was involved with the staff and residents. It is a battle to get any of the nurses to comply with orders from the doctors. Tasks as simple as putting lotion on dry skin, changing residents so they do not sit in soiled cloths and they seem to have a huge issue with dignity issues....ev... read more
