Do not send your loved ones here. Both of my grandparents lived at Brookdale, and we had a terrible experience. My grandfather passed away in the memory care unit after falling and breaking his hip- something we believe could have been prevented if staff had been more attentive. When I visited him, I saw residents left sitting at tables for hours, often given medication that seemed to make them fall asleep. I strongly caution anyone thinking about placing their loved one in this nursing home. I was assigned to a quarantined resident here through a third-party elderly care agency. My role was strictly to supervise the client and ensure she remained in her room under Covid protocols — not to perform medical or nursing duties.
