Memory care is not good. Smoke and mirrors. It's like they staged themselves for tours. Look at the couch. That's where they live all day or in their rooms. Hygiene is a minus. Assistant personal care is a minus. Pay attention to what you see, all the other stuff is fluff.
I can not thank enough Nancy for all her help and guidance, she is very professional and truly cares for all her residents. My brother is very happy at this location.
It was a heartbreaking decision to find a locked memory care home for my mother, but Nancy at Brookdale made it as painless as possible. She was compassionate and caring. Bradenton Gardens may not be the most stylish home, but it was the most loving. Cari, Mindy,Georgina, Willie, Lou always greeted us with warm hugs. It may not be the Taj Mahal BUT.... We cannot thank BBG enough for the wonderful care that my aunt received in her 11 months of living at Brookdale Bradenton Gardens. EVERY person, from the front desk, administration, nursing, kitchen, and housekeeping gave only loving care. The kindness showed by all staff and even the other residents made it clear that Brookdale Bradenton Gardens is a place where love oozes.
Positives: People working day to day with the residents are kind and caring. Food is good. You get good value for the money spent. You can trust these people with your loved ones. . Negatives: High turnover of upper level staff. Frequently at minimum level of floor staff. Their own records are computerized, but they do not keep organized, easy to find records of medical information by visiting professionals.
