One of the best zoos I've seen - well worth a visit. Visit on a cloudy day, and the animals will be super active. Try to see the polar bear in early afternoon.
Awsome place to be... wendsdays is free to go in
Not stroller friendly...be prepared to shuttle kids in and out of stroller often
Best zoo Ive been to by far.
Take the express bus from Manhattan...much better than the subway. Also, go on a weekday in the Spring if you can. You'll avoid the crowds.
Worth visiting when in The Bronx, just don't go on Wed. because it's free and always way full on that day with less animals on display as on any other day (which one pays for)
Spend some time at the Sea Lions exhibit. But be careful - you can easily lose track of time and spend hours there!

Bronx Zoo is closed now. It will open at 10:00 a.m.
