On holidays when having my night insulin I found I had my short acting insulin but did not have my night insulin which I take at 8pm sat here till after 11.30pm waiting to get one pen I had a script, type 1 diabetic, not good enough!

Presented to Emergency with my partner. Taken into a consult room which clearly had had another person on the bed and the sheet not changed. Put into another waiting room where there was lots of rubbish under the recliner (used swabs, food, needle caps etc). After hours of waiting I asked a nurse what what happening, she said we are waiting for blood test results. He had not had any blood taken at all!! After 7 hours was glad to finally see a doctor who was helpful.

Staff are great and the food was great and I enjoyed my stay in the hospital. I also enjoyed my company in my room.

Travelling from Qld my husband had the misfortune to discloate my shoulder. Required both road and Flying Doctor transport which were fantastic and professional. Emergency staff cannot be faulted in their care and treatment. They work under difficult circumstances which are not their or the hospital fault, it is the same as in other States and Qld. They need support not condemnation.
