I took an international friend to visit the farm and do a tour. It was so interesting to learn about oyster farming, but particularly Pearl Cultivation on the Hawkesbury River. Thoroughly enjoyed it and was able to purchase beautiful pearls also!
Evidently if you walk with the aid of a stick or frame you are considered disabled and not welcome on any tours Thank god I checked this out before wasting my money No ferry or similar service have ever had an issue Very relieved for myself as was only going for my wife's sake who uses a cane but she was quite upset so heads up if you're old or disabled you are not welcome and are obviously unaware that boats can have side doors and ramps so even wheelchairs can access safely Bit disappointing considering our aging populatio... read more
What a phenomenal and educational experience. My dad was in the pearling industry and I absolutely loved this. Pearl prices surprisingly affordable but very high quality
