Was really special with my daughter staying in Brodworth..
A lovely day at Brodsworth Hall with beautifully maintained and restored gardens. English Heritage volunteers telling the story of the family history and the upkeep of the Hall.
Beautiful gardens with an amazing range of trees and shrubs. It's a shame that some parts of the hall are in need of repair but amazing that there's lots of original stuff too.
Very disappointing as it was not a stately home a house that had been lived in by a normal family. A lot of the rooms looked like junk rooms but that was how it was left. I would hope if money permitted it could be made to look better. The gardens where beautiful the staff where very helpful and had a lot of information. Getting there was a nightmare as the only signs we saw where about a mile from the house. What should have taken 30 minutes to get there took us 2 hours. Not one i would recommend. Sorry.
